4 Steps to a Cleaner and Fresher Dishwasher
It’s your dishwasher’s job to do the cleaning, but how often do you clean your dishwasher? How do you clean your dishwasher?
Did you know that over time food particles and bacteria can clog the drain and attach to the spray arms? This leads to reduced water circulation during the wash and rinse cycles which leaves a greasy film of food and soap on your plates. Poor cleaning habits and a dirty inside of a dishwasher is normally an indication of poor water flow caused by limescale and deposit build up due to hard water.
We recommend cleaning your dishwasher once a month to ensure cleaner dishes and a prolonged life cycle.
Here are 4 steps to a cleaner and fresher dishwasher to ensure it runs optimally:
- Clean the Drain
Using a rubber glove or paper towel, carefully remove any food particles from the drain at the bottom of the dishwasher. Rinse the removable screen and place it back onto the drain. - Wash the dirt away
Using a Mr. Sheen Dishwasher Cleaner Tablet , follow your dishwasher’s manufacture guide on cleaning and relax. The Mr. Sheen Dishwasher Cleaner Tablet helps eliminate limescale, deposits and odour. - Salt
Check that the machine has enough salt. - Wipe the rubber seal
The rubber seal on your dishwasher ensures that the water stays inside but can also get quite dirty. Ensure to wipe it clean with a hot, soapy washcloth.
